The Irish Master Farriers Association was formed in the early 1970′s around the time Bord na gCapall (The Irish Horse Board) started Farriery Apprenticeships. The I.M.F.A has to date over 140 Members which also includes apprentices.

On Saturday 3rd December 2016 the Irish Master Farriers Association had the Annual General Meeting in R.A.C.E. The meeting was well attended by members. The meeting was chaired by Chairman John Dooley, new members joined the committee. An exciting year is in store. Watch this space for updates.
